During Orientation Week, Abongile (Mentor) led our 23 Yeboneers through an energetic and focusedprogramme, with Lilonke (Data Admin) right there supporting him behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We’re proud to share that all 23 Yeboneers have been recruited from New Horizons (placed atFormosa) and Kwanokuthula (placed at Kwanokuthula and Phakamisani). There will be one Yeboneer in every Grade 3 and Grade 4 class, supporting teachers and learners in literacy and numeracy — and running after-school interventions to strengthen learning even further.

Even more special? These young ambassadors matriculated from Plettenberg Bay Secondary and Murray High. They are giving back to the very community that shaped them, while gaining meaningful experience and paving a path toward their own futures.

This is what full-circle impact looks like. Young people stepping up. Schools strengthened. Community investing in community.
