Bitou 10 Spelling Stars 2025: Awards Ceremony Highlights!

August 2025bss6

August has been a month full of spelling challenges across English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa, and  it all came together at the Bitou 10 Spelling Stars Awards Ceremony at Formosa Primary School Hall!

Our programme was beautifully led by Mistress of Ceremonies, Lindy van Rooyen, with a warm welcome from B10F Director, Dianne Kloka-Speight, and an inspiring keynote by WCED Circuit 4 Manager, Suzette de Villiers.

The winning learners across all categories were rewarded for their hard work and diligence. As they were called up on stage, judges from the Bitou Municipal Libraries and our community word announcers handed them their medals and certificates.

The excitement was palpable as winning schools were announced and received their trophies from Suzette de Villiers and Dianne Kloka-Speight.

The day ended with heartfelt thanks by Vijay Moodley, B10F Director & Head of Libraries.

The competition was tough, the spelling fierce, but our schools rose to the challenge! bss4
