Bitou 10 Foundation Stakeholder Engagement Evening

August 2025

Despite the rainy skies and winter chill, the warmth and energy in the room last night spoke volumes. We had a fantastic turnout for our Stakeholder Engagement Meeting, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who braved the weather to join us. Your presence reflects the passion, commitment, and shared vision that fuels the work of the Bitou 10 Foundation.

IMG 7719We were welcomed by our dedicated Chairperson, Douglas Baartman, who set the tone for an inspiring evening of reflection and connection.

We were honoured to host several special guests:
  • Mayor Jessica Kamkam, who shared a heartfelt message of goodwill and support for our work.
  • WCED Circuit 4 District Office – Suzette de Villiers (who also delivered a message of goodwill) and Janette Jooste – thank you for your ongoing collaboration and belief in the power of education.
  • Bitou school principals – your daily dedication is the backbone of our shared mission.
  • Our valued partners from Grow Learn Earn (GLE), along with various current and past donors and sponsors – we are so grateful for your continued support and belief in the work we do.

The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with connection — especially thanks to the Plettenberg Bay Field Band, who brought energy and rhythm before the program started and again during the break. It was electric!

We extend our deepest thanks to the generous event sponsors:IMG 7725
  • BI Hotel – for the beautiful venue, elegant set-up, with top class refreshments and hospitality.
  • Adrian Speight and Dianne Kloka-Speight – for sponsoring the unforgettable Field Band entertainment.
  • Ruby’s Kiss’s – for the gorgeous floral arrangements that brightened the space.

During the evening, we also proudly presented the Bitou 10 Foundation 2024 Annual Report, celebrating the milestones we’ve reached and the road ahead.

We are so encouraged by the unity and shared purpose felt in the room last night. Together, we are building something meaningful for the children of Bitou.
