A Jingling Introductory Meet and Greet

What an incredible afternoon at our Bitou 10 Foundation Meet & Greet yesterday! Bringing together our board members, staff, stakeholders — and of course our amazing new Yeboneers— was something truly special.
Our Chairperson, Douglas Baartman, opened with a warm welcome and words of wisdom that grounded us in purpose and reminded us why this work matters. Ruby Chetty shared a powerful overview of the Bitou 10 Foundation — the people behind it, the projects driving it, and the impact we’re building together.
A highlight was hearing from Abongile, the @YearBeyond mentor for the Yeboneers, who introduced each of them by name — a moment that made it clear: this is not just a programme, it’s a journey we’re walking together.
The Yeboneers gave us a "Hey Jingles”demonstration— a high-energy, joy-filled introduction that gave us a glimpse into the passion, confidence, and spirit they carry into the schools. Safe to say… they brought the vibe
This is an exceptional group of young people, and we are incredibly proud to welcome theminto the Bitou 10 family. We’re excited not only for the impact they will have in classrooms, but for the growth, confidence, and opportunities that will unfold in their own lives as they walk this path.
A heartfelt thank you to Global Village Tea Shop for hosting us so beautifully (and for the delicious treats!), and to Pika's Bus Services for making sure our Yeboneers arrived safely and smoothly.
